Artificial Intelligence, AI, can be a powerful tool to mitigate risk while accelerating technology and digital transformation initiatives. As many organizations adopt AI tools to gain an edge over their competition, many are hesitant to introduce resources that use AI. At the crux of this issue is trust in AI.
In fact, a study from AWS surveying public sector organizations found that 89% of participants surveyed agreed it was somewhat or critically important their agencies adopt generative AI. And of those 839 IT decision makers, 43% were interested in using GenAI to improve operational efficiency. While GenAI increases opportunities to save time, money and other resources, 86% of those surveyed said they anticipated integrating GenAI with their legacy systems would be costly. In addition to cost, the greatest concerns were the trustworthiness and security of the tools.
AI can be used to reduce operational costs. If you use our ReDuX toolkit, it can be used to migrate your mainframe system to the cloud to gain even further efficiencies.
How do you know which AI tools to trust? Establishing expertise is one benchmark we can use to build a framework to assess AI suitability. We recommend two approaches. One, select partners with subject matter expertise. Two, select partners with expertise in building and maintaining AI tools.
Mainframe Migration Experts
Initially, you should seek experts in both the technology involved in your project and your industry. Take a product mindset and consider the needs of all of your stakeholders and their future interactions with your system. Find the people who understand these needs and can support your goals and requirements. Look for experts who understand the complexities and regulatory requirements of your industry.
As it applies to a toolkit like ReDuX, we recommend you find a partner, like us, that has experience migrating, large complex legacy systems. We have over a decade of experience migrating mainframe and other legacy systems for U.S. government agencies. More importantly, we have validated our experience with our AWS competencies. We achieved AWS Government Competency status in 2019. We also hold AWS Migration and DevOps competencies.
AI Technology Experts
At the same time, you should also ensure the partners you select have the expertise to maintain and support your use of their AI tools. As earlier these experts should have experience using and maintaining their tools as it applies to your particular technology challenge. Moreover, they should be engaged with the expert community and industry ensuring they are up to date with the latest technologies, best practices, and opportunities to meet your requirements.
ReDuX is backed by our an engineering team who maintain our AI tools and roll-out enhancements to our users. ReDuX is a product of the Karsun Innovation Center. We leverage our AWS competencies and our industry resources to prototype, validate, and integrate new AI resources into the toolkit. For instance, in a recent video, Karsun Innovation Center Senior Vice President Badri Sriraman shares his experience integrating emerging technology with the resources available to AWS government competency partners. Filmed at the AWS Washington, D.C. Summit Government Competency Leadership Circle, Badri discusses how his team used tools from AWS to accelerate Karsun’s AI toolkit, ReDuX. Tune in on YouTube to hear more from Badri and other government modernization experts.
If you are interested in modernizing your mainframe system with the use of AI, ReDuX sits at the intersection of tools built by experts in both the complexities of legacy systems and the promise of artificial intelligence. To start your journey, connect with us here to learn more.
